The Macedonian inline hockey national team—affectionately known as the “Armored Squad”—begins its preparations today for the 2017 World Championship qualifiers, which will take place in Bratislava.

The training camp, starting this afternoon, will be held in Jesenice, Slovenia, where head coach Jure Vnuk will conduct the first roll call.

The team is scheduled to stay in Slovenia for the next nine days, with a daily regimen consisting of two training sessions at the legendary Podmežakla Arena, plus one conditioning session. Afterward, the team will travel to Steinbrunn, Austria—the site of the qualifiers—where they will hold three additional training sessions before their opening match against Bulgaria on June 22 at 4:00 PM.

As previously announced, Macedonia has been placed in Group A for the qualifiers, alongside Bulgaria, the host nation Austria, and Serbia.
